This paper analyzes the evolution process of the social property rights system of grassland from the perspective of the "out-marrying woman" dispute caused by the reform of the property rights system of grassland in an animal husbandry town in Inner Mongolia. In the reform of collective ownership of grasslands, the grasslands used for public use were contracted to individual herdsmen. However, in the process of the definition of grassland property rights, a series of disputes about the rights of members have been brought into being, especially the disputes about the contracting rights and interests of unmarried women. The reform of property right system is bound to produce the complex game and pull between local tradition and national system, village collective and female rights protection. The “Married Daughters” dispute highlights the social construction logic of the definition of collective membership, and also reflects the changes in interpersonal relations, gender power structure and awareness of grassland in pastoral areas during the process of clarification of property rights. This also reflects from the side of the property rights system changes on the grassland society far-reaching impact.
