滋根立足以人为中心和可持续发展的宏观视野，通过支持农村基础教育寻求消除贫困的途径，参与中国贫困农村的发展。三十年来的实践经验表明，中国贫困农村女童失学的原因和国际经验相似，支持女童完成义务教育，是消除贫困的有效手段。作为民间公益组织，滋根深入的基层减贫实践，能够为政府政策的实施提供有益的补充与反思。同时，滋根经验也显示，民间公益组织的资源、能力是有限的，但在可持续发展的理念指导和贴近基层的实践之下，能够将调研培训、减贫和公共教育结合在一起，通过试点、示范等方式，将有关经验分享给全社会。

英文摘要:

Based on the people-centered andsustainable development ideas, thenon-profitorganization“Zigen”participatedthe development process of poor ruralareas inChina, throughsupportinglocal basic education.Its30years’practical experience shows,reasons causingpoor girlsleaveschools in rural Chinaare muchsimilarwithinternational experience. Moreover, supportinggirlsfinish theircompulsoryeducationisan effective means ofeliminating poverty.As a NGO, Zigen’sdepthpracticeprovideuseful supplementandreflection forgovernment’s policy implement.Meanwhile, Zigen’s experience also shows thatNGOs’ resources and capacities are still limited. However, ifwecancombinethepublic education parttogether with investigation, trainingand poverty reductionwithinthe guidance ofsustainable development concept andlocalpractical experience,it ispossiblefor NGOs sharing theirrelated experiencesto the whole society through thepilot and demonstration methods.
