| On the basis of China Household Income Project (CHIP) survey data in 2013, this paper analyzed the poverty reduction effect of China''s public transferincome in rural areas. At first, this paper descripted the income distribution characteristics of varioustransfer incomes, including the contributionto the gross income inequality, the proportions in different income groups, and the distribution in poverty and non-poverty households. At last, the poverty reduction effect of all kinds of transfer incomes was evaluated by micro-household data. According to calculation results, China''s public transfer income hasplayed positive anti-poverty effect, and made the poverty headcount rate declined by 4.26 percentage points in 2013. However, challengeslikepoor targeting efficiency of minimum living guarantee and low amount of transfer income, still existed in certain areas. |
