The scale of land transfer in rural China, characterized with capital down to countryside, developed rapidly since the Third Plenary Session of the 17th central committee of CPC, which attracted a large number of researchers attention and the research presents large quantity, cross-disciplinary, multi-perspectives and multiple topics. The purpose of this article is to review previous researches on land transfer in rural China and provides basis and references for future studies. Following with the concepts and land transfer related policies review, it is found that the existing research mainly focused on the following aspects: different attitudes to large scaled land transfer; problems, causes and countermeasures of land transfer; land circulation and class differentiation, impacts of land transfer on community structure, households’ rights and livelihood, etc. These researches have provided important basis for the improvement and implementation of land transfer policy. This article will contribute to help researchers understand the background and policies of land transfer in rural China, on-going research, and thus supply sources for future research in this field. It is recommended that future research could explore in this field from gender and grassroots and other perspectives. |
