| One key step during the establishment of the capitalist relations is the separating the peasants from the land, and combining them with the capital. The typical way is the enclosure in England, which is in a dramatic and opening way. Tania Murray Li’s new book Land’s End: Capitalist Relations on an Indigenous Frontier, however, showed us how the capitalist relations can be established in a mundane and insidious way. This book maybe can provide some lessons to China’s agrarian change researches. |
