大众高等教育是20世纪晚期现代性若干转型之一种，是精英教育的自反。精英教育的诸多命题均以反命题的形式出现。从作为奢侈品的精英教育到作为必需品的大众教育，高等教育已从积极投资转变为防御性消费；从后工业主义到后福特主义，人格资本而非人力资本应成为高等教育的培养重点；而随着工作社会的终结与消费社会的兴起，大众高等教育培养对象已从生产者转变为消费者。缺失社会政治经济与文化结构的转型，简单且孤立地移植大众高等教育将面临风险。在高等教育的变局下，教育内在的知识内容与育人逻辑将面临什么挑战与转型？怀抱改变命运的农家子弟将遭遇什么？

英文摘要:

This article claims that mass high education, as one of various transformations of modernity in the later 20th century, is a reflexive of elite higher education. A series of propositions regarding elite education find themselves in forms of counterpropositions. Further study shows that, being evolved from elite education as a luxury good to mass education as a necessity, higher education has become a defensive investment rather than active investment. From Post industrialism to Post Fordism, higher education's concern is shifting from human capital to personality capital. With the decline of worker-society and the rising of consumer-society, it has been consumer not workers who are supposed to be trained in higher education. It is pointed out in the article that the risk will be caused by simple transplantation of mass higher education in isolation from political-economic-social transformation. Final part of the article discuses: under the variant situation, what challenges and transformation is the higher education facing for its inner knowledge content and educating logic? What will the rural youth dreaming of destiny change meet?
