话语说” 。《遭遇发展》正是对发展的西方话语说的最好诠释。通过对世界范围发展的话语批判, 埃斯科瓦尔教授
构想了后发展时代, 他提倡多元模型与混杂模型的共存。所有这些思想对中国当今的发展现实和发展研究都有着
重要的参考价值。而对于发展的思考最终还需要回归到人的本质和人的概念, 以及如何做人的实践与生活方式。 |

| When people at every corner of the World are pursuing development, Arturo Escobar published his well know
book Encountering Development, which has made farreaching impacts. He affirmed that development is not the common
means taken for granted for solving global problems, instead, development is an invention, and a special historical and cultural specific program. In the field of development studies, there have been mainly three types of definition for development, i. e. , development as a process of structural societal transformation, development as an intervention action, and development as a dominant discourse of Western modernity. The work by Escobar is the best illustration for development as a
Western discourse. By critically examining development discourse at a world level, Escobar has imagined a postdevelopment era, and promoted the coexistence of multiple models and hybrid models. All such thoughts are of high relevance and
importance to the development reality and development research in China. The ultimate examination of development may
have to come back to the examination of human nature and human concepts, as well as the ways of being human and the
styles of life. |
