农民工是我国改革开放和工业化、城镇化进程中涌现的一支新型劳动大军。由于长期形成的城乡二元结构未从根本上改变, 社会主义市场经济体制还不完善, 农民工的生存状态令人忧虑, 对构建社会主义和谐社会产生了十分不利的影响。必须按照构建和谐社会的要求, 不断改善农民工的生存状态, 为农民工提供平等的就业机会、国民待遇和发展平台。

英文摘要:

Migrant rural wo rkers are a new type of work fo rce emerging from the process of China' s reform and open-up , industrialization and urbaniza tio n.Due to the long standing dual framew ork of city and country side and the deficiencies o f the socialist economic system , the living co ndition of the farmer w orkers in China is far from satisfactory , w hich has already ex erted adverse influence on the construction of a socialist harmonious society .Efforts should be made to improve their conditio ns, giving them equal employment oppo rtunities, national treatment and developing platform .
