| The academies o f classical lea rning se rved as a majo r component o f the educa tio nal system in the
Qing Dynasty a nd they saw gr eat dev elo pment in that period. Besides, the co nnec tion between the academies
and academic activities became closer , pr omo ting on the dev elo pme nt of academic a ctivities. After the 1894
Sino-Ja pa n War , the academy sy stem g radually fell apar t w ith the decline o f th e ancient feudal sy stem in China. |
