在领导中国革命和建设的历程中,我党形成、坚持和发展了全心全意为中国人民服务的根本宗旨。这是我党获得中国最广大人民群众拥护和爱戴,使党能够战胜一切艰难险阻而立于不败之地的根本保证。同时,我们也应当看到,在改革开放和实行社会主义市场经济的新的历史条件下,党脱离人民群众的危险性大大增加。只有继续坚持为人民服务这一根本的宗旨,党才能永远与人民群众亲如鱼水,永远立于不败之地。

英文摘要:

In the co urse of leading Chinese r ev olutio n a nd co nstructio n, our Par ty has fo rmed and adhered to the basic pur po se o f serv ing th e people with all our hear t. This is the basic g uara ntee fo r our Par ty of gaining Chinese peo ple 's suppor t and esteem, and remaining inv incible by co nque ring all difficulties and da ng ers. Besides, w e should a lso be aw ar e that the potentia l dang er of o ur Par ty 's breaking awa y from the masses increases g reatly in the refo rm-o pening co urse and the dev elo pm ent o f socialist ma rket-eco nomy. Only thr ough insisting o n th e ba sic aim o f serving the peo ple, can our Par ty keep close to the masses as fish with w ater , and a lw ays stand in the inv incible po sitio n.
