通过语言交际与非语言交际间关系以及非语言交际在人们交际活动中重要作用的分析,论述了非语言交际在课堂教学特别是外语教学过程中特殊而重要的作用,探讨了外语教学中非语言交际的内容、方法,指出为改善教学效果提高教学质量,现阶段的外语课堂教学应语言交际行为与非语言交际行为并重,尤其要加强非语言交际的研究与应用。

By analyzing the rela tionship betw een v erbal communicatio n a nd no n-v erba l communication, as w ell as the important role that the no n-v erbal communica tion plays in communication, the paper di scusses the special and impor tant ro le that no n-v erba l communication plays in classroom teaching, especially in fo reigh lang uag e teaching; probes into the co ntent and method of non-v erbal communica tion in foreig n lang uag e teaching; points out foreig n lang uag e teaching sho uld lay equal stress to bo th v erbal communication and non-v erbal communicatio n, especially st reng then the research and applica tio n of nonv erbal communica tion.
